Read the Student Handbook

The Dean of Students Department

The mission of the Dean of Students Department is to support the academic mission of FSU and the Division of Student Affairs by providing services and advocacy for all student through creative problem-solving, accessibility, and accountability. Areas reporting to the Dean of Students include New Student & Family Programs, Greek Life, Student Rights & Responsibilities, Student Disability Resource Center, Victim Advocate Program, and Withdrawal Services.

Leadership & Service at FSU

Leadership development, service Learning, and civic education provide our students with opportunities to link the concepts learned in the classroom with situations found in the "real world". Leadership and service are core values in FSU's mission as a leading institution of higher education. Engage in your own development and the world around you through The Center for Leadership & Civic Education.

Campus Safety & FSU Police Department

FSUPD supports the mission of Florida State University by promoting a safe and secure higher education environment while providing proactive police and customer-related services aimed at reducing crime. Along with various campus partners, the FSUPD works with students and staff to establish a comfortable living and learning environment.

Student Handbook & Code of Conduct

You can find information on the many services and programs at FSU in the Student Handbook. The Code of Conduct is included and where you'll learn about the non-academic policies and procedures which apply to you as an FSU student.

Seminole Dining

Higher education should be about great food for your body as well as your mind. Enjoy great tastes on campus with Seminole Dining. Between attending classes, studying, and having fun, you might have little time left to shop, cook and clean. Relax...We'll do the work for you at one of our all-you-can-eat restaurants or retail locations.

Student Housing & Your Home in Tallahassee

  • University Housing: Enjoy the convenience, safety, flexibility, value, and community of living on-campus in one of FSU's amazing residence halls or apartment settings.
  • Off-Campus Housing: If not living on campus, remember to make other housing arrangements early. See Off-Campus Housing for assistance.
  • Tallahassee: Remember that you will share Tallahassee as a home with other students and citizens. Review the student information, resources, and reminders provided by the City of Tallahassee. Student Living in Tallahassee.

    Seminole Athletics

    Many students enjoy attending the wide range of athletic events offered at Florida State University for the strong sense of community and tradition (see Seminole Athletics.) All registered students, through the payment of a student activities fee have the opportunity, but are not guaranteed, to receive student athletic tickets.
